What’s Involved?
The Charter is built around four practical pillars that support your business goals while contributing to a fairer, more inclusive economy:
- Fair Pay – Commit to paying the Real Living Wage or work toward it within 12 months.
- Employ North Lanarkshire – Work with Council initiatives, engage with schools & promote volunteering.
- Buy North Lanarkshire – Support local suppliers, deliver community benefits and social value through procurement where applicable.
- Be the Best – Offer flexible working, staff development, promote wellbeing and inclusion, and commit to equality and diversity.
Accreditation is awarded based on how well your organisation meets specific criteria across these four key pillars. With a Bronze Award granted to employers who can demonstrate they meet the criteria in at least two of the four pillars. Partners will sign up in principle to the scheme and will work towards meeting the criteria outlined under each of the four pillars.
